Letters from the Committee

August 16th, 2009.

Dear members,

It's a new year, with new prospects, new visions, and new beginnings. A summer of blistering sunshone and enthusiastic rainfalls has given us time to reorganize our thoughts and rekindle our creative juices in anticipation of the coming year.

It's time now to move forward and work toward exposing the hidden writers, authors, story-tellers, and artists we have always known we harbour inside ourselves. Slowly, word by word, phrase by phrase, page by page, we will show the world what we were born to do.

Welcome the challenge you have set for yourself. Exceed your every expectation. Open up your senses and set free your imagination, then marshal your knowledge and your life experiences and use them all as the colours you require to convert the pristine canvas you hold before you into the exceptional work of art you know it can become-the masterpiece you have always wanted it to be.

Make yourself proud.

Rosalie and Joseph

Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce that we now have our home for the coming season. We will be holding our meetings and workshops at the YMCA on Sherbrooke St.

We also will be guests at the Eleanor London Library on Cavendish Blvd in Cote St. Luc for our Book Club. More information will be posted here shortly.

Our first article about CWS will be in the newspaper The montrealer and will continue for the next few months. We will attempt to feature our published and non published writers at the discretion of the editor of the newspaper.

I want to thank Joseph Mannella, for all his help and for allowing me to drive him crazy. Point is, because i have deadlines does not mean everyone else has them!

i want to also add that the staff at the Eleanor London Library and at the YMCA have been more than helpful in their efforts to accomodate us.

We all look forward to an exciting new season.

Should anyone have any suggestions or comments about our Reading and Feedback evening or anything that might be of concern or interest to our members please address your comments to:

editor@canadianwriterssociety.com

We will do our utmost to reply and as we said we are in the process of revamping and this group does belong to you, the members.

Thanks for your patience through all this period of change..Announcements and schedule will follow via email. Please keep checking our website for further details.

Rosalie
